New Coaching For the Adrian High School Softball Team… What Now?
By: Lauren Sams
The Adrian High School softball team will start their season in early March, 2020. Jennie Jaynes will be the new coach, with roughly 20 girls. Their goals this year are to reach conference, district, and state championship.
According to one of the players, having a new coach will be an obstacle they will have to face. Coach Jaynes has high expectations for the upcoming season. These include conference and district championships, and a solid state playoff run.
Adrian High School’s softball team will be all about working together and being held accountable. Jaynes motto for coaching this year is, “give everything you have, then give a little more.” Braylen Ford, a player for the softball team, says that her favorite thing about the softball season is, “all the chances you get to bond with new people and the tournaments because you get to play softball all day.”
