High School/Middle School
The Adrian School District would like to announce the hiring of Dustin Bridges as the Secondary Principal for the 2020-21 school year. Dustin Bridges has been the K-12 Principal at Ballard R-2 where he has been for the past eleven amazing years. Dustin has served as the Agriculture Education Instructor and FFA Advisor for nine of those years. Dustin also coached Varsity baseball for six years and Trapshooting for ten years. During his time at Ballard he served as a PLC leader, Professional Development Committee Chairman and has been on curriculum teams.
Dustin hold an Educational Specialist degree in School Administration from William Woods University, a Master’s degree in Curriculum and Instruction from the University of Central Missouri, a Bachelor’s degree in Agriculture Technology from the University of Central Missouri, and an Associate’s degree in Agriculture from Crowder College.
Dustin live in Adrian with his wife Miranda, oldest son Cody who will be a junior at Adrian, and youngest son Clayton who will be a sophomore. As a family they enjoy everything sports, camping, boating, and family vacations. Dustin grew up in Adrian, MO and is a 1998 graduate of Adrian R-3. In high school, he participated in football, basketball, track, FFA, choir, and band.
Dustin is very excited to be returning to the Adrian R-3 School district! Adrian is a very special place and the staff goes above and beyond to make sure students are being served. It is an honor to be taking over for Mr. Lewis as the secondary principal. I look forward to meeting everyone and working closely with Mr. Lile, Mrs. Baker, and the rest of the Adrian team to serve this wonderful community. I cannot wait to get started and partner with our staff and community to continue building and improving our amazing school. Blackhawk Pride! Jeanette Baker graduated from Sherwood High School in 1989. She received her bachelor's degree in elementary education from UCM, Master’s in Teaching from Webster University, and Master’s in Administration from William Woods University.
Jeanette has been an elementary teacher at Sherwood Elementary and Harrisonville Schools. The last five years she has worked as the Elementary Curriculum Coordinator and the District Curriculum and Instruction Specialist for the Harrisonville School District. Jeanette helped to begin the New Teacher Induction Program at Harrisonville to support teachers as they begin their teaching career.
Jeanette comes from Harrisonville where she lives with her family. Jeanette is married to Brian and has three sons. Kenny attends Avila University, Ronny is attending Crowder College, and Tommy attends Harrisonville Middle School.
Jeanette enjoys spending time with family and friends, gardening, watching movies, reading, and shopping.
